The degree course in Business Economics aims to provide a solid foundation in economic and business disciplines (both in functional areas and in classes of companies in various sectors), as well as in acquiring an adequate command of mathematical-statistical tools and principles as well as institutions of the legal system. In particular, the training course is intended to develop the basic skills for analysing business phenomena in complex economic and social contexts.
In the first year, the course includes the lessons included in the SSD of basic educational activities as well as teaching of the characteristic disciplines; this is done in order to guarantee students who undertake the three-year course of study a solid basic education. In the second year, the course includes characteristic and related courses aimed at making the course consistent with the specific educational objectives; finally, the training course ends in the third year with free choice courses, the language test, the computer test (or alternatively the internship) and the final exam.
The three-year degree course in Business Economics forms professionals suited for performing managerial, consulting, entrepreneurial activities, in the context of private and public organisations, whilst operating in actual and financial markets. To be admitted to the Degree Course it is necessary to have a secondary school diploma or other qualification obtained abroad, which is recognised as suitable for the course. The recognition of qualifications obtained abroad for the sole purpose of admission to courses of study is approved by the University, in compliance with current international agreements. The procedures for verifying the knowledge required for access are defined in the academic regulations of the course of study whereby other additional educational requirements are indicated in the event that the verification is not positive.
